Dr. Ruth Glass

DR. RUTH GLASS,
Clinical Psychologist

"Therapy with me is warm, nonjudgmental, and full of hands on tools. I’m here with you every step of the way to help you meet your goals."

Dr. Ruth Glass is a licensed psychologist specializing in the treatment of ADHD, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and elimination disorders (e.g., encopresis and enuresis) across the lifespan. She has extensive training and experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Dr. Glass is passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based care in a warm, nonjudgmental environment.

Therapy with Dr. Glass combines practical skill-building with exploration, reflection, validation, and the cultivation of hope. Treatment is tailored to each individual's needs and may include identifying and reshaping unhelpful thinking patterns, clarifying personal values and building a more meaningful life, exposure therapy for OCD and anxiety-related fears, self-compassion practices, communication skills, and mindfulness. Sessions also emphasize understanding the nature of a person's symptoms while reducing shame and self-criticism through education and self-awareness.

For individuals with ADHD, Dr. Glass works collaboratively with clients to develop practical strategies for everyday challenges. Treatment may include improving organization, creating sustainable calendar and planning systems, establishing designated places for belongings, identifying barriers to task initiation and completion, and designing environments that support focus and follow-through. She also emphasizes building a realistic foundation of healthy habits, including sleep, nutrition, and physical activity, recognizing the important role they play in emotional well-being and executive functioning.

Dr. Glass earned her PsyD from Yeshiva University, with specializations in Clinical Psychology and School Psychology, and received her B.A. in Psychology from Columbia University. Before entering private practice, where she has worked for the past six years, she provided care in hospital, school, and community mental health settings and served as a supervisor for postdoctoral trainees.

Dr. Glass looks forward to learning about your goals and answering your questions.
